At age 10, Christina Pires was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, a form of high -functioning autism. She is a graduate of Bakersfield College, CSU Bakersfield, and National University. She is currently in a creative writing program at National University to obtain an MFA. She hopes to use the degree to write screenplays for film and television. She resides in Bakersfield, California where she was born and raised. Her passions include writing, reading, singing, and creating costumes.
