After wandering through academia, Laura Perna is humbled and grateful to have landed in the disability justice space. She serves as the Communications Director at the Coalition of Texans with Disabilities (CTD), where her work included the co-coordination of the Pen 2 Paper disability-focused creative writing contest for 11 years. While Pen 2 Paper outgrew its own capacity, she continues, in and outside of her role with CTD, to support literary and creative work by people with disabilities. A Dallas native, Laura now lives in Austin with her guy and their rascally but endlessly lovable pets.
